Design Story
This historic Shimla residence called for a careful balance between preservation and contemporary living.
Original timberwork, fireplaces, staircases and architectural proportions were retained wherever possible, protecting the character accumulated over generations.
New interventions remain deliberately quiet, allowing the original architecture and collected furnishings to carry the atmosphere of the home.
