We are less interested in recreating a Parisian look than understanding why certain Parisian spaces feel so effortless.

It is often the relationship between old architecture and contemporary life that makes these interiors compelling. Historic proportions can sit comfortably beside modern furniture and simple objects.

The most memorable interiors rarely feel as though everything was purchased at the same time. Objects appear gradually, giving the room a sense of history.

Travel gives us references, not formulas. We return with ideas about proportion, light, material and the way old and new can coexist.
